French-Cameroonian singer, songwriter and producer YAOUNDÉBOXINGCLUB has risen quickly since the release of her debut EP, I Thought I Knew You, Boy Was I Wrong, back in March 2023. That combination of indie, bedroom pop and folk has been usurped by the energy of her latest track, ‘SNAKES’, which is an indie punk track flecked with grunge influences. “I wrote the song in about an hour, hence why it’s quite simplistic lyrically,” she explains. “It pretty much speaks for itself, and it’s something I needed to get off my chest.” Keep an eye out for more from YAOUNDÉBOXINGCLUB over the course of 2023. -Dan Peeke
